Worked my butt off in school and with employment while I was in school.Worked my butt off even more in school to get an advanced degree to improve my W-2 potential, and still worked in addition to school for the advanced degree.Paid down debt, and positioned myself financially so I could use disposable income towards REI instead of nicer cars or fancy clothes or whatever else people burn money on.Partnered with like-minded individuals with similar goals and outlooks to increase growth/acquisition.And here I am - never had to raise "private capital" because banks are more than happy to work with me.
