With so many "experts" on Section 8 pushing courses out there right now I was tempted to get into Section 8 rentals.

I've had negative experiences with a bad general contractor and a non-paying renter (leading to an eviction), so I'm being extra cautious in selecting the right lender this time.Could anyone recommend a trustworthy lender in the Los Angeles area who can guide me through this difficult time?

It is also took me a solid hour+ on a 3 way call with the lender to get the Escrow figured out, and I still got Cancellation nastygrams in the mail afterwards.

@Karl Kauper going to guess your current PMC:1) Is having too many tenant nonpayment issues for your likingAnd/or2) Refusing to share their background checks with you, so you can make your own approval decisions to address #1 above.Several factors may be at play here that you may want to consider before being trigger-happy:1) For several legal and contractual reasons, it's pretty much NOT possible for a PMC to share background checks with an owner. 2) What Class of property do you own?

So, now almost two years later, I've had to close my flipping business because I can not seem to recover from this loss. 

I'm leery of the find investor friendly agents tab as I did that with lenders last summer and my phone started blowing up within 2 minutes of hitting the button and was getting constant calls all day.
