I had previous told them I will meet them on the evening of Jan 3 to give them the keys.

Some college campuses have those services in-house and some Cities also have that as part of their housing programs.

I am 19 years old I attend a local community college, and work as a real estate broker, I was looking into buying a multifamily unit in my city (Fort Morgan) in order to rent out some units and live in one does this sounds like a good idea. ( I have no landlord experience)

Then, you need to do your own screening including calling previous landlords.
