Plus an additional 268 sqft heated shop space for building materials and tool storage with overhead door.

I paid 4.5k to upgrade meter from 80 to 150 amp and upgrade service panel so I could get central air and heat.

I would like have them pay for utilities to prevent excessive use of appliances/ heat/ AC.

There is also the issue of it being more difficult to install as the shingle is more brittle, and its much easier for the nails to blow through the shingle during install.Temperature isn't the end-all if your roof is completely shot - shingles can be held in a heated tent until they are ready to be installed, handled more carefully, and hand-sealed.

Expect the heat/AC never to be turned on except in extraordinary circumstances.
