We now have a nail technician, esthetician renting the studio, massage therapist, hair stylist, and both apartments rented.  

We wiped the cabinets down with a damp rag after sanding and allowed to dry.  

I called my local Ag guy from LSU and he said burning once they are dry is an option but there is a no burn law in city limits.

As everyone else has said, this is not something you want to go cheap on, its typically a one time expense and it keeps your property dry.

After this past weekend's heavy rains, the basement was dry.

All this was done that day.The other tenant (the one that isn't suing me) immediately moved her stuff out into another unit I had (she asked if I had any available and I let her move her stuff there). 3 days later I had her unit dried up and the carpet was replaced.I then spoke to the tenant (who is suing me)...I indicated that we will need to move her stuff to the other unit in order to dry the floor and get the place new carpet.

We currently live in the house and although the pump works just fine (we've been using it full time as we remodeled the upstairs bathroom) I know the tenants will either flush wipes, or fem products, or hair down the toilet and cause damage.

There is a LOT of room for those builders to lower their prices drastically and still make good money if the STR profits dry up and investors are no longer willing to pay a 70% markup because their underwriting tells them it still makes sense financially.I can't speak for everyone else, but I am traveled out.
