I'm wondering how this subject to --> lease option business has not been exposed for what it is - a minefield rigged against those who are bad at risk management.

Your credit does matter because getting loans from banks, but if you have low debit and are paying, your credit shouldn't be that bad.

If they don't qualify for a loan due to bad credit or lack of a down payment when they start renting the house, they will have a hard time saving up the necessary money and repairing their credit in the 2-3 years during an option period.
