Hey Mike, you need to talk to a Texas real estate attorney.

I'm currently starting to talk to my cpa and networking with realtors and fellow investors. 

Talk to an agent, as the property Will be in the MLS, or on an auction site.  

If you'd like to get together and talk about local strategies that are working, I would be up for that :-)   There are also a bunch of investors and clippers that are planning on getting together on October 10th. 

It took out one house from what I can see and the house I'm talking about has fire damage on the sides of it pretty bad.

When we talked about the transition and employment, they have both said that they have had interviews, but the companies wanted to wait until they were here to hire them. 

For example, I was talking to a banker friend of mine that did the underwriting for the last apartment building I bought. 

For example if you mail 500 letters to owners, you may get between 10-40 calls and it may take talking to 30 sellers to close a deal.

to me it does not seem like a good deal, unless you can talk him down to around 50k-60k

I'm getting married next month, and have been feeling the pressure to buy a condo, that would serve as a home base for me and my wife when I'm in between international assignments (10 days each 4 months) and would hold me and my wife's things (wedding gifts, furniture etc)My biggest problem is that we would only live in the condo about 20% of year, as we would be traveling abroad as part of my job.
