As we expand, I'm aware that vacancy is not my friend.

That might be a friend at a real estate agency, someone looking to buy & hold in that area for appreciation, etc.

I'm not only looking in the Chicago area, but I'm also looking into other areas that are more landlord and investor friendly. 

Some background: my friend is a tenant who has been living rent-free in a unit for over ten years but is a professional painter and has been painting numerous properties/units for the landlord in lieu of rental payments.

I recently teamed up with my friend Blake, who is a CPA working in the Memphis area, and we are ready to start investing!

Depending on price point there are a range of options, although Kelowna is getting quite competitive (as I would assume Victoria is as well).

I do wonder how many of these frauds that advocate this would have THEIR family or friends done like this!
