Much like in CA were you have millions of platted lots that the roads were never put in etc..

The drop-in stove top and wall mount range that I put in this house cost over $1500!

Time spent on the project itself should be put in a different category I feel.

I am also aware of the red tape and bureaucracies that big banks put in place to protect themselves that are cumbersome on people like me and my customers, who don't fit the mold of the "typical" buyer.

You put in very nice finishes and if you want that specific vanity or tile, that is what it costs so it is hard to adjust the price on that too much.

Put in vinyl flooring that looks like wood, that's no more expensive than carpet, which has some give to it, or put in standard home carpeting.

Oh, btw, I had the rekeyable locks put in when I rehabbed this (been using those for the last 3 years now) so it didn't cost me a penny to change the locks and I don't need a handyman to do it (normally I do because I have zero skill). :-)
