We have used finance students here and there looking for internships and/or quick cash for time intensive tasks like that in the past.

Even if your property is clean and just needs basic tasks done, if your management team can't do the make ready for several weeks, then there isn't much you can do unless you want to take on the work yourself.I should have spoken with a property manager and got the make-ready estimate done during the inspection period prior to closing.

@Jacklyn Pascual, consider one other thing: Being a bit older gives you a unique perspective and you can leverage many years of life experience.

HI Alex,You know the trash piles will still be there after he is gone.Getting him gone isn't such a hard task, although the cleanup will be extra money and time.If he's senile or out of touch perhaps call your local elder services to look into his situation.Just my thoughts.Good Luck!

These properties come with their own unique set of challenges but for the right property can make a ton of sense.

I'd like to possibly have this a 50/50 deal, but  I would do the leg work as far as working with the contractor, getting insurance, taking care of utilities, and dealing with the both the purchase and sale of the property and whatever day to day tasks come up.
