Do you think I need to go to the extent of building some kind of hand rail around the perimeter of this backyard deck to prevent a slip and fall injury, or would just making sure all the planks and nails are secure be sufficient?

If the properties can debt service a million dollar loan at 12% then the savings at 6% should allow you to build up sufficient reserves where you can weather any bumps in the road thus mitigating the risks that come with a recourse loan.

The functions of "origination" would be would be given and a judgment made of the broker's performance being sufficient to say the broker did originate the loan.

The redbook states that a "sufficient amount of time must pass" and that the property is "abandoned"...but it doesn't clearly outline what defines either term even in the commentary.
