The tenants didn't regularly pick up after their dogs, so according to our contractor it always smelled like dog poop when you walked by or walked up to the house.

Problem is it appears we will be aggressively taxed wether we invest in Canada or US due to our transitory status.I would to know if anyone in this forum has ever gone through similar situation, wether in US or Canada and found ways to lower the amount of taxes to pay to level similar to regular US or Canadian citizens?

I haven't had much success talking to mortgage broker about it because as soon as I mentioned renting out the property or investment property they change the entire conversation to conventional loans like I no longer qualify for a regular mortgage.
