It's going to more than likely be a smaller company that will say yes and give you a date as to when you have to have the panel updated or might be a nonstandard company that will write it for a higher premium until you are able to update the box.

As such, it doesn't really matter "if you would have got that customer anyways"...if they can get you that customer faster, then its worth paying the premium (to a point!).

Some times on residential mortgages we have to go to alternative lenders to make the debt servicing numbers to work and if you want them in a corporation it usually comes with a premium in rate.
