I have Corian in my own house, and while I love the material (integrated sink, totally seamless, renewable) I don't think it would be  appropriate for a rental property - it can be repaired easily but it's too soft for renters.

It doesn't mean that is a bad idea, as you never know someone may appear while you have your GC license and it will be a seamless transition, just thought it was something worth considering.

You can download the Google voice app get a free number and use that to call them. and when they block that number you can just change the number on the same app, and keep calling and txting.
