Well, felons in many cases are disenfranchised from voting rights, and that isn't considered discrimination. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felony_disenfranchis...And criminals have not become a federally protected class; not sure whether any state it municipality has denoted criminals as a protected class.
