@Kathryn BowdenWhen designing a kitchen, we use a Triangle Theory -- that is the sink, stove, and refrigerator should be in an access triangle in order to make food preparation easy.

At half value I’d have no hesitation, particularly due to the nature of the settling “event” as being a one time thing, easily fixed, and preventable in the future.....as opposed to a sink hole issue which you never really know if it’s permanently cured, which is a different stigma.

When I do the square footage wall to wall, using the designer drawing measurements, I come up with 574 total.I'm trying to determine if my feelings are correct that this space is worth more as as self-contained rentable space that could either be used as a MIL suite, or man cave compared to simple square footage with all the components.Of course, the added bedroom, bathroom and laundry are key components...but I'm not so sure about the sink, fridge, and convection oven adding that much to it.Is there a known formula that I can apply to this scenario?

Normally if a perimeter foundation wall sinks, you get floors that are out of level, not bowed.

Mike I can just say 1 thing before you listen to ANYONE on here about ANYTHING....A wise man said once to meNEVER TAKE ADVICE FROM SOMEONE WHO'S NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE....Let that sink in, and before you take any advice, full investigate the person and their claims.
