Curious which firms are willing to fight for the business right now.

Trying to get 20 or 30 % out of some quick flip deal where you don't add value you'll be fighting to find such prey, peers, industry professionals and ultimately the community will be critical of how you deal, so will attorneys and judges.

I have seen the water meter removed if a bill is too far past due,,the question I have is can they find the meter and verify its accuracy.I had something somewhat similiar happen, but the city checked the meter,,in this case there might not be anyway to do that,,I would ask them to look at the history of the address,,that the usage they are saying is WAY out of line.One other thing that I discovered during my fight on a water bill, people steal water, because apparently in the manufacturing of some dope they use a lot of water,,so the city watches for crazy water usage, so its better for them to steal it from a neighbor.  

After he had his stuff out he called and decided to pick a fight with me about the rent he owed for the month.

Kevin,I had a similar situation with long term tenants (5+years) moving out.It's not worth it to fight with them.  

If someone wants to fight a contract, they will find someone willing to fight it.  

Doesn't seem to make too much sense to me, but I won't fight it.

We agreed to simply change the contract price to the appraised amount because most of my cash is tied up in the project and I want to keep rolling rather than fight over a few dollars.

At the current expense of fighting this woman it may be cheaper to lease her an apartment elsewhere in the meanwhile.

You may get lucky and the borrower may sign the property over to you through a deed in lieu of foreclosure, but this requires relatively clean title and a borrower that doesn't want to fight.
