My contractor called me and recommended replacement as the unit was old and the repair would be over $1000 on a unit that was starting to nickel and dime me. 

I do work for a general contractor as a project manager, so rehabbing and fixing up is something I at least have some experience in.

I’m also a union electrician, have a degree in electrical engineering with a PE license.

I have limited construction / rehab experience and I'm wondering If I should be hiring a General Contractor to do the work or finding each individual person myself and acting as the GC.How do some of you handle getting the work done?

Architectural drawings aren't done until after you close property (and only then can you have exact #s from contractor).

Does anyone know of an investor friendly contractor that can be recommended? 

Does anyone have experience with any general contractors in Springfield, MA they know and can referral?

(3)  Rehabbing and getting into flipping (my parents were contractors and I had a painting company in Buffalo - closed it to go back to the corporate world but have the time, interest, equipment, and know-how to do most if not all of the drywall / painting work on a flip)(4)  Being an assistant or intern for a house flipper (I'll work for free - teach me and let me see the process from the inside!)

Due to water damage, we scheduled contractors to come out and fix the carpet and whatnot.

Just say you have an assignment contract that will allow you to buy the property at xxx address, we are selling our right to purchase this contract. Or
