They can still move but are cemented more by heavy build out, electrical connections, equipment, etc.With office some more space will be taken up by new business starts in an upturning economy.

Considering my job was basically to get a property ready for market (clean out/fix, get appliances, full occupancy, etc) I assumed the only SOLID way to get accurate appreciation was physically adding value to the property (renovations, etc.) and increased rents.

So fix the leaky bathroom shower, clean it up and rent it out, then when you are ready to flip it in a couple years you can do the granite and floors.
