We have video footage of death threats, proof from department of public works, plumbers, board of health, and other contractors backing every single thing up I have stated.We of course will screen better next time, but first we need to get her out, which seems impossible right now.

@Carlin Barney I would say that you are pretty accurate with your estimation there, depending on what square footage and the age of the property.

I'd do some calculations --3 days no AC upstairs: 50% of property totally unusable = 3 days * ($5600/30 days in an average month) * .5 = $2801 day no internet: could not work, had to use 1 vacation day = $3001 BA not working = 5 percent of square footage = $5600 * .05 * 3.5 = $980Etc.Then I'd let myself get negotiated way down, to like $500-1000.In the future, I'd start asking for the refund closer to the time when it happened.

FB, Zillow, Trulia etc etc .......and look....compare the units that are somewhat similar to yours...bedrooms, bath, location, condition etcA lot of the "services" just use some algorithm based on bedroom, bath and sq footage.... they don't account for condition and locationSo do your own "apples to apples" search

Conventional wisdom tells me to fit as many bedrooms into a certain square footage as possible; but when touring some of these houses where the bedrooms seem just big enough to fit a bed and not much else, my knee-jerk reaction is to think that nobody in their right mind would want to live in something that small.
