He rightfully is thinking that a. you can't spend equity, it has to be converted to money to be useful b.

Made a lump sum and now I make money in interest payments and I don’t have to have touch the house as far as repairs or landlording at all.  

None of this stuff by itself is a ton of money, but add it all up and it cuts into profits.

It is now a very complicated and involved process to appear in the top 10 of any kind of Google search.You could spend tens of thousands of dollars to achieve this goal.
