Please recommend a SAFE way to invest cash ( ~20k) for a short period of time, about 6 months. 

Expect to spend $10-$20k in FC and of course all the taxes and insurance on the home during this time.

When you can close on a home sale in a short period of time those 2% and 3% checks pile up cash fast.
