Until that 500k + number approaches zero (hence the unemployment rate stabilizes) and foreclosure notices drop to a much lower number, we're still falling, and may only have reached terminal velocity.

also, IF (and i mean a HUGE 'IF') you needed to access this money, you can take out your contributions (not earnings) tax/penalty free (as long as they've been in for 5 years). there is also no RMD (required min distribution) when you hit 70.5 years old. those are some features....you are doing great!

The methods are similar to appraisal, get 3-6 recent (3 months old) sold comparables and 3-6 recent active comparables, adjust the prices based on condition/location/features/etc and determine an AS IS price and a REPAIRED price.
