There are a surprising number of things you can't just put in the trash or haul to a landfill.You also have to know the worth of stuff that is left.

I think you might be surprised at the demand you could generate if you updated (as needed) electric, plumbing, cable/phone, HVAC, etc.

You may be surprised to find that you don't actually need to participate in those programs.
