From my preliminary research it seems that Cape Coral has quite a bit of new construction and open vacancies right now.

I get asked about STRs a lot, and I know with Nashville's new restrictions on those permits, the next year seems like it's going to be a shock to the STR business.

I have my most success with roomies.com, and the second most success with Craigslist shockingly.

I'll be shocked and impressed if anyone read all that, but damn I needed to vent a bit.I dunno...I need to do all this a different way or not at all.

Obviously, we did a virtual tour but that doesn't really help with getting a look/feel for the neighborhood.When we arrived I was a bit shocked.

My calculation on the taxes appears to be ~$33K, so I was a bit shocked, but then with my losses carried forward over all these years (~$25K, it appears I should be able to deduct them from the $33K.

and god forbid a Personal financial statement and or copies of tax returns.. having done HML for 30 years you would be shocked .. you can't read a book by the cover.. the 3k suit guy has terrible everything the guy in jeans and T shirt is great..

But this could send shock waves through the real estate market as inventory could plummet.

All though I would personally never put a significant amount of money into a property I was not the owner of.. to many things could come up that would preclude a clean transfer of title and a clean title especially In those type of areas  many time the sellers have issues you won't know about until you open escrow and and get a peak at a pre liminary title report..
