California law is fairly clear in these situations, but I wouldn't trust myself to navigate all the nuances of these codes.Just to give you an idea of what's involved, if you suspect your tenant has abandoned the property (obviously you do), you must wait like 2 weeks to see if they return, and if not, send them a notice confirming they've moved out.Once you're certain they have moved out, you must store any and all of their personal property for 18 days or so.
