For those investing in 1sts like myself its difficult to continue to feed the machine and I do $5M a year and there are more 1sts opportunities than seconds.

MAREI is virtual, not in a physical location, but we meet every 2nd Tuesday for our main meeting, every Friday at 8:45 am for networking and some of our members host in-person events. 

that you can connect with or you can find meetups on this website (Network > Events tab here on BP) where you might be able to meet in-person or virtually with a lot of other investors in the area.

Previously, while acting as a Portal, Zillow received virtually all of their listing via a feed from local MLS systems.

However wholesaling in the US is easier because you are able to get owner info easier (ie Deal Machine, court info, etc), so 'drive for dollars' is more common practice there, whereas a lot of the owner info is harder to find in Canada due to the privacy act.
