Im a former Marine and long time business owner but new to real estate investing.

If you're looking for a more permanent home later, consider areas that are not just tourist-oriented but have good schools and community resources, which can be more appealing for long-term living.

I currently have a long term rental in the Cincinnati area.

I am about to read it for the second time now ;) Thought I'd hit the forums as a last resort. 

But then again, I've heard that as long as you keep everything up to par with the llc's basics  (separate bank acct, current llc status w state,  properly funded,  no co-mingling, etc) it holds up in court even if single member.     

It wasn't any more work than finding a long-term tenant.

Most of my people are long term now but I still have to fill a new room every couple of months on average.  

As long as the asset covers the debt the recourse won’t touch the personal borrowers assets
