I wouldn't stop doing REI because of this, you have to put something in place to ensure payments are made on time, I would accept no late payments without an interest penalty that way u won't get messed with, if ur soft they will pay u last on the list.

In other words, you do nothing but check to ensure the rent was deposited in your bank account and move on to your next life experience.I know this is a bit pointed towards the 'down the road' stage of investing, but I really feel like if you plan for it from day 1, you'll save yourself a lot of headache and give yourself more time to find good deals.Good luck!
