Second Post outside of my introduction so I wanted to make it a bit more interesting.

I'm planning on quitting soon, moving back home for a little and taking a few months in between my next job to pursue my first investment.My rough idea for an investing strategy is:  long-term, not necessarily looking for high cashflow (just want to start building equity), quality deals > amt. of doors, Class A/B neighborhoods mainly for low vacancy. 

My dad taught me decent financials growing up and I'm the only one in my family who hasn't made a financially poor decision(some sort of bad debt or bankruptcy.)

Hello,I had a similar situation in NC...My husband and I (investors) tried to buy a piece of land from the gentleman who had been paying the taxes for years. 

Im about to close in on my first investment property, a large Single family home .

I don't build new homes with builders, but I believe construction costs are high and time frames long based on my remodel experience. 

My Fico is around 650.

Previously, I borrowed where my rate was the 5 year treasury plus 2 points.
