Be courageous and don't follow the pack... but you are an entrepreneur so you probably already knew that.

We will have 1 or more moving trucks packed the weekend before and stay in a hotel or at a friends that night. 

What's the state landlord tenant law on this.Normal is Security Deposit equal to 1 months rent.. extra would set you apart from the pack for people that might want to rent and don't want to also pay last months rent.. that's basically 3 months rent to get in the door..

It does have several RV lots as well which may play a role in the expenses. 

Find a solid one that will teach you how to partner with others to find properties like self storage, RV parks, multifamily, or mobile home parks.

But like another poster said here earlier (and I fully believe) is that during a recession people stop going to expensive places like Europe and Hawaii, but they still pack the kids in the car and drive somewhere.
