@Shahzad Shaikh You aren’t going to find many properties in the Austin metro in the $250k-$300k price range unless you look to the smallest towns on the outskirts of the area (Manor, Elgin, Taylor, Kyle, Jarrell).

Real estate is a great investment but it's gritty and required time and is stressful.For you I recommend buying a new build condo or town house and renting it out right away or being the financial partner in a joint venture partnership. any other model does not work with your minimal hassle/time/experience expectation. 

I like having at least one that we can count on being as we have family out of town and lots of road trips.

The town that this property is in has close to 100,000 if not that amount of people.

Mine is fairly “local” for a 30 mile radius despite there being about 8 different towns.

Small towns may rely too much on a single business or market segment.Population Growth - If people are moving into a location, many things have to be right.

So I have recently been exploring the area of Gatlinburg and surrounding towns for a str cabin.

Cell phone towers are not favored by towns and also carry several other regulations which would likely preclude any commercial businesses there.
