Hi Yolanda,A brand new oven off by 40 degrees, maybe take that one back for another one, and test the new one.I'd say that's basically a stove with no oven.As far as the shelf, those little shelf kits are not tough enough for a rental (they fall down).Having a wooden brace screwed or nailed to both the shelf and the wall on each end is much more robust.
