Backstory:I received a call from an investor this week.

I realize you are a ways away but if you get an attorney involved you are looking at more time and in my experience, most people are never are happy with the out come.

Expecting an established CPA to give you a free personal consultation on the phone is not realistic.

I work in the trades as an electrician.

I would say an agent who is a property manager should always say hire a property manager or they should not be in the business.

The property would be an investment and a passive income until I retire.

The tenant is paying their portion of the rent (the majority is coming from city) but the tenant has been difficult to deal with and I'd like to find an new tenant once their lease is up.

Also, I’m considering working with a real estate investor, property manager, or an investor-friendly brokerage—do you think that’s a good idea?
