Ask specific questions, this is your property and you have a right to know what is going on.If he still does not respond, then I think you have to at least call an attorney and make sure that you are proceeding legally (for your state).I would bet @Nathan Gesner would have some ideas on this.....Good luck!

She is now three months behind and Just heard a podcast where Brandon Turner said you could get in trouble legally for not treating tenants the same for late rent payments.

But if you're looking to beat rent, get *closer* to breakeven or even cashflow (depending on rent strategy) then definitely check these out and reach out anytime with questions.

I'm looking for the legal definition of "paper lots" and was hoping that someone might be able to point me to a good source.

I can definitely tell you there's still a lot of positive cash flowing and 1% rule deals and you get amazing appreciation.

I definitely don't have the risk tolerance to try to flip in the Bay Area although I knew a few people doing this. 

I imagine though in my opinion not as a legal professional that the seller being the bank would be much more likely to get in trouble.

Is there a way to do this legally that would provide a tax benefit?
