I did some research and homework and began calling local mom & pop owners in the Harrisburg, PA area where I live.Believe it or not, the very first person I called I ended up purchasing from! 

Especially if it is for your family it makes the conversations with kids and wife a whole lot easier about what the benefits and challenges will be.

I'm trying to get my kids to buy duplexes for themselves. 

I kid you not, I saw one of them freaks make a video on that.Or.. go to your clerks office and pull this list and that list "for free".

So basic that I wouldn't setup a kid in a toy kitchen with the supplies they provide.

Just not worth my time or effort or headache at this point....and really for no better place than a hotel room and doesn't seem to be any less costly.The advantage comes when traveling with kids.

But if our homework has been done, it's worth the step of faith2) worse case scenarios aren't as bad as they seem3) Don't pay contractors by the hour...just don't smh4) having a partner that compliments you is a game changer Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

Unless you're secretly a trust-fund kid, your biggest asset right now is your time and energy.See you around!

It is correct that they are not desirable, but some of our priciest retail neighborhoods are Birmingham City schools, and people buy in there who are planning on either homeschooling or sending to a private/community school (my family included, we live in Glen Iris 35205, have 4 kids and homeschool).
