You don't want to do any long term installment contract without an attorney, if you can find one to do one.The DOS and FHA regulations are anchored in federal law, not administrative "discipline" and administrative rulings carry the weight of federal law.

Not only are they not custom, you could not even buy at home depot what the builder put in for allowances on items such as cabinets and countertops (unless you went with formica countertops and MDF cabinets), then to top it off they are charging almost $2000/LF for cabinet installation.
