I want to buy a multifamily and house hack it.

Renovated it and house hacked it had 4 rooms rented out the entire 8 years I lived in Norfolk.

Son is heading off to college next year and looking at possible multi family that he can either house hack his freshmen year or sophomore year.

I have also been lucky enough to have been working with a real estate firm here in DFW that focuses primarily on due diligence of Freddie Mac multifamily securitizations for B-Piece buyers, so I've been able to hone my multifamily due diligence and underwriting skills in this field for the past 2 years on top of our self-education.At this time, we're focused on acquiring a duplex/triplex in the DFW metroplex (focused in the Irving/Las Colinas, Coppell, Carrollton/Farmers Branch, Richardson and Trinity Groves/Medical District areas in Dallas, as well as some of the surrounding submarkets on a deal-by-deal basis), with the plan to house-hack.

We are looking into East Austin to purchase a house - preferably a duplex (or larger) that we can house hack or a home w/ an ADU built in it, that we can also house-hack.

I think house hacking in Los Angeles is a great strategy.

My initial plan was to buy a multi family unit either a duplex or triplex and house hack.
