Internet news is that GM will be closing four plants in MI in 2017 and layoff ~1700 employees, so maybe this is not quite the right time just yet.Don't mean to throw cold water on Detroit but IMO, it's much like waiting for the popcorn to start popping - - it takes awhile.

Then start to track down those companies and where their employees hang out (golf courses, country clubs, restaurants, bars, etc. ) In the words of Jim Rohn "You are the average of the 5 people you most associate with" Start being around these folks more and they'll get comfortable with you and you can start to "talk shop" with them.

You will get a lower quality tenant than you will get in a SFH, but your way to small for onsite employees.
