If the current owner knows financing is an issue and they own it free and clear, why wouldnt they work with a potential buyer to overcome the hurdle they know exists?

OR a non-existent fee could be due to the split more evenly distributed.

My wife and I are interested in House Hacking as we read through Brandon Turner's book on rental property investing and we would like to invest in a multifamily property but instead of purchasing an existing property we were thinking what if we tried to find a developer that was building new construction multifamily properties and purchased one.

Tuck pointing is relatively simple, but redoing existing brick with new bricks or installing lentils gets a lot more complicated and costly pretty quickly. 

I understand they're each independently owned and am curious how it works when multiple MLS systems exist within one county- Do they each only cover a portion of the county, do you need a membership to each one to have access to all listings within that county, etc.?
