It was just an inquiry threatening to report me to zoning, but I did not need the hassle or the fine, so I converted it to a 30 day rental.3) Make sure to factor in the cost to furnish the place - We thought we could get by with 10K and spent almost twice as much to furnish our 3 bed, 2.5 bath.

If you wanted to sell you also have to find a buyer willing to pay extra for your house due to solar even though its the same bed/bath and sq footage as all the other homes in the area.Finally 15k is a lot of money upfront, and would go a decent ways towards the down payment of a second rental property instead of trying to complicate things with solar.
