Hi Cameron, as others have said here, the key is knowing what to automate and what takes more time to automate than simply hiring a human to do it for you (or DIY). 

The buildings had some problem tenants (one had drug dealers), and they were the easiest to deal with. 

As a human being though, it's just a nice thing to do.

many humans are worse than this too, with loud music or fights and profanity. 

“Retirement” is a fairly recent concept, but the concept of freedom is as old as humans themselves.

They have never given me real problems and appreciate being treated like human beings.

The place was filthy - had a broken toilet full of human waste.

Everybody is a victim, nobody is held responsible for their own actions.Don't forget, government programs are run by human beings in the positions, people in those positions are there for a reason, they have a huge lean toward helping out the unfortunate, and never forget in their eyes landlords are very rich taking advantage of people, they are going to side with the renters as much as they can get away with and there is lots of grey area and interpretation and leaway.

As humans we tend to make emotional decisions and then rationalize them...no humans are more susceptible to this than investors.  4.
