It's not the income tax that worries me so much as the cap gains tax and more than one person thinks it's possible as we had the largest post-election stock sell off in the history of the US.Then again, none of it really worries me.

I'm not going to send a check to a treasurer whose term expired and may not even own a unit anymore, without some idea of where the money is going and how it will be used.The commons areas need attention, but even if I got on the board and straightened things out, I doubt very seriously that I could get a majority agreement from the rest of the owners to make any major expenditures.

Matt,I agree with Ryan that starting with a smaller deal to gain experience would be a good idea.In my experience, sellers often grossly distort the truth about the NOI, so you will need to verify that.
