At my age, I don't think it's a good idea to risk my own personal property.Fortunately, we have no credit cards, since we maxed those out during the housing crunch and ended up not being able to pay them.And we only have one 17-yr old (step) daughter who lives with her mom, so there's no child support due to anyone.I've tried network marketing, affiliate marketing, blogging, etc., etc., as a "second job," and those are not viable.

Pipes can eventually start to weep (similar to aged cast iron).Buying a property with galvanized plumbing, or old cast iron drains, is not a deal breaker, but you need to budget their {maybe not immediate, but near to mid-term} replacement into your cost modelling of the property.

@Chris Seveney I've talked to a couple banks but run into problems with the age of my business- they all say they want a work history/business age of 2 years minimum.

@Angelo Wong  if this is a predominantly owner occ neighborhood have Curt or another agent send you MLS listings of same age basic sq footage bd and bath... if the numbers check out that will give you a second opinion..
