I know that I could create a great listing with excellent photos of the interior, but I'm afraid of a negative first impression on the guest when they pull up to the house and feel "less than impressed" or worried that the INside of the house might look like the OUTside.It's January, 2022 as I write this, and we've had snow on the ground in Michigan for a few months - so I can't do landscaping right now, but spring IS right around the corner.

I feel blinded by dealing with family.The unit is four-plex apartment building that needs a lot of paint, all new flooring, bathroom vanities, interior doors, an exterior door, a large window replaced and probably an in wall A/C or 2.

We did have a unit turnover that we raised rent on the unit $900/month (tenants were below market and we did a fairly extensive tenant turnover including removing texture ceiling, new base boards, painting all interior, getting a new range, adding a programmable thermometer, and redoing the balcony railing (new powder coat)).

I would think it would be a red flag unless the first permit you pulled was an easy permit and just for demo or some interior work.There may be a way to modify the existing permit but I am not 100% sure maybe @Samuel Pavlovcik or @Prashanth Mahakali have dealt with this before?

This family member is now going to retire and leave the country and offered to sell the condo to me.The house is in somewhat bad shape and will require a full interior refurbishment.
