The way to do this is to find the webpage of the local municipality and call their code enforcement number.

Go to the bottom of the webpage and click "FilePlace", you can search for forms there!

I went to each of the municipality web pages, and looked for any mention of allowing or dis-allowing short term rentals, and then went to those that do allow them, and that were in close proximity to my house, and started looking for houses to buy. 

@Rick Trivedi I did and they sent me to a web page that they would give permits to build here.I removed everything with 'Conditional' permits form the list.

Answering all of them takes the better part of the day and I would much rather be able to refer them to a webpage to answer their questions.Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to start with this process?
