Do you have 2-4 contractors that you've built relationships with who build similar homes to what you're looking to do?

We have good managers, good contractors, good attorneys, and (if I do say do myself) some good agents.So... that's the good.The bad? 

I'm also open to flipping once I have some more funds on hand as I have some friends here I know that could help me with the right contractors to work with and start to make some money that way to get more properties.

As the owner of Oz Realty, I wouldn’t recommend any other property manager in Toledo to take you on.Most companies don’t allow landlords to use their own contractors for repairs due to internal operating inefficiencies. 

However, the City initiated the "Buy Into Baltimore" open bid program (which we're interested in participating) through which you can bid/buy city-owned abandoned/vacant properties for redevelopment/resale.The problem is, there are so many blighted neighborhoods in Baltimore, it's tough to know where to start.

Do you recommend using a general contractor, or would it be more cost-effective to handle it myself with subcontractors?

If door knob break (giving a simple example), Doorvest will charge me the price of door knob + contractor fees (Doorvest will not collect additional fees for themselves).

I suggest interviewing teams of realtors, contractors, lenders, and property managers in each market.

Are you doing it yourself or hiring a contractor that specializes in it?
