I would recommend contacting your local government and requesting a list of properties with back taxes, then start analyzing the areas where you think you can add value.

It's California, you think it's desirable because of the government, or the weather?  

This was due to desirability, affordability, limited supply due to geography and laws protecting open space coupled with very high demand due to net in-migration of high-earners/wealthy people, and perhaps most importantly a diverse job market in recession-proof sectors like education, government, defense, healthcare, etc. not just tech, energy or manufacturing that can be boom/bust. 

Firstly if someone is aware of a law specific to Georgia about this topic please let me know and also please provide any links to government sites that you know of I am happy to read up on the matter. 

@Daniel Vandenbos  Pottsville is the county seat so the county government is there, also Yueugling Brewery is there. 

I have paid & They have used my government benefits as they paid along.

I like the fact the Little Rock is the capital of Arkansas and there's a couple military bases that are north of town so there's tons of government jobs.

I've just reached a point where I can start saving money, so I'm looking for advice and guidance on how to begin investing, especially using grants or government funding.
