Indeed, non-EU purchasers only represent a few percent of the houses bought in the country and the properties they generally buy are not affordable properties so that tax wouldn't solve anything and would bring less capital and less jobs to Spain.

My own personal experience is that a huge stressor has been lifted since I've stopped spending hours looking for and analyzing deals and my index funds/stocks are doing well (just hope it doesn't decline in value when retire from my W2 job).

I guess my challenge right now is to define the strategy and balance all the factors, such as job and population growth (value increase), cashflow (demand & supply market, interest rate, property tax, maintenance cost), and risk control (insurance etc).

I also reccomend lining up a contractro early, realy early, from what I’ve heard, so you can keep everything on schedule and budget.So now that you’ve tackled what most investors would call a major job, do you see yourself repeating a similar strategy.. or do you feel like branching out into something else?
