Hey @Andy Yu - echoing what @Eric Hajdu brought up, your best solution for a quick fix is likely going to be to offer a buyout money or cash for keys.

Or like I have seen there are a lot of bad actors out there and you will have groups that do this with no intention of every paying on the sellers mortgage and will rip the rents until the houses are lost to foreclosure  when that starts to get acute and brought to main stream something could happen regulatory wise.

When I brought this up, they said they could amend my taxes.  

I would send a letter to the tenants that the registration has been brought to our attention by a "concerned neighbor."

Therefore, it is a waste to break it out.The only reason that you would need to break it out is if you brought a condo where each unit is a separate tax lot.

If it was a deer hunting situation where the deer was brought back to their house, properly processed, and disposed of that would make sense. 

These properties are on there way to slums, old home death, unless they are brought back with rather in depth remodels.
